Planning and Dissemination – Institute Community Support Grant Summer 2024 - BHCIA Pool Recipient

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Institute Community Support (ICS) Planning and Dissemination Grants are intended to provide support for planning and/or dissemination activities (either virtual or in-person) consistent with the mandate of CIHR and relevant to CIHR Institutes and Initiatives.

The Brain Health and Cognitive Impairment in Aging (BHCIA) Research Initiative has sponsored one ICS grant focused on planning activities, for the successful applicant to conduct an environmental scan mapping out the Canadian dementia research landscape. This will include a synthesis on what research has been funded, highlighting what evidence is available, and identifying research and innovation gaps. This work will contribute to the objectives of the Dementia Research and Innovation Funders Alliance which is an important component of the BHCIA Research Initiative.

We are pleased to share Dr. Juanita-Dawne Bacsu as the recipient of the BHCIA funded pool of the ICS Summer 2024 competition.
